Miguel Palacio It will give a touch of design to the Expo Zaragoza 2008. The designer has been chosen to create the uniforms of the stewardesses and stewards of the Pavilion of Spain of the exhibition international being held in Zaragoza from June 14 to September 14.
The designer, was selected after taking part in the contest organized by the State society for international expositions (SEEI) and the Association of fashion creators, and in which also participated Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, Francis Montesinos, Elio Berhanyer, Devota & Lomba, Juan Duyos and Jesus de el Pozo.
Any of the above-named designers would have been a good choice, but Palace especially deserves it for the great work done in recent years that have become one of the greats, and what better reward than this to be even better known internationally.
The designer has adapted his style elegant and rich in details, to some functional items that deviate from the typical classic uniform to become more “to fashion”. Palacio said that the idea of uniforms which had presented have a care and refined style. To evaluate the proposals received, formed a jury composed by Javier Conde de Saro, President of the SEEI; Enrique Loewe, President of the Fundación Loewe; Lucía Cordeiro, Manager of the Association of fashion creators of Spain; Javier Letamendía, Member of the Board of Trustees of the Balenciaga Foundation; Clara Courel, editor in Chief of ELLE fashion; e Isabel Vaquero, editor in Chief of Marie Claire fashion, among others.
